Produced as an anchor project for Bulb, Bubble, Burst



Reviving the exhibition site’s previous use as a physical archival space (for storing big corporations’ documents, allegedly), the grandstands become activated as an archive once again. The current contributing documents are those that were part of the “social historical bureaucracy” of the former shipbuilding yard (now rebranded as and arts enclave NDSM), that manifests and will be shared as a local resource. In relation to NDSM’s original redevelopment and its consequently contested grounds, its land value and (enforced) circulation, this piece invites individuals entangled in the processes to share significant documents that articulates or evokes a particular situation. In addition to that, the archive will also feature documents that narrate pertinent histories leading up to the conceptualisation and execution of this exhibition.
