“Tiongxim is a lie, hongster never die (“txial, hsnvd”) is an attempt to imbricate and articulate a post-rabak affectivity through the twin processes of digital archaeology and emotive reimagination. It seeks to redeem a lost future, minus jem/jewel, in which Century Square, bugis street and Heartland Mall are still purified by 77th street.By tracing the genealogy of yung love through the msn and friendster eras, this project ultimately pays tribute to the rituals of affection that are enshrined in the collective psychic consciousness of pre-tumblr internet and beyond.txial, hsnvd also has a more perfunctory archival function. This is achieved through collecting models of pre-contemporary realities and sincerities, and allowing them to unfold as parallelisms to a now that is forever looking back."
