In the two days the department (Studio for Immediate Spaces) was given access into the highly secure compound of IBM Amsterdam, we invited members of the public to experience a site-specific intervention enacted on the vacant 6th floor office of the building. The activation was designed and executed in such a way that complied with the security and logistical limitations and regulations of the building - entrance and exit were organised and timed, no irreversible changes were made to the space and furniture - and discussed issues of climate control, the gaze, emotional and material extraction, labour in the office space and beyond.
